If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE). For county-by-county help, the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence has a list of resources at nccadv.org.

    Sexual assault

    If you are a victim of sexual assault, contact the RAINN National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-4673 or online.rainn.org. Wake County residents can call the InterAct sexual assault hotline at 919-828-3005 or 866-291-0853 (toll-free).

    NC sexual assault resources

    Those who don't feel comfortable going to a traditional hospital for a rape kit can contact The Solace Center at 919-828-3067 or 866-291-0854 (toll-free). The Solace Center has trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) and victim advocates who will be with you through the whole process.

    If you wish to report the crime, a police officer will come to the Solace Center, and your advocate will remain by your side to provide support. Solace Center services are available to all survivors, regardless of where the assault occurred, at no cost to the survivor.
