Apex opens two new parks

The town of Apex opened two new parks this weekend.

The 12-acre Hunter Street Park is across from Town Hall at 1250 Ambergate Station Rd. It includes a walking track and lighted athletic fields for baseball, softball and soccer. A second phase will include a dog park, restrooms and playground.

Seagroves Farm Neighborhood Park, which is off of Center Street at 201 Parkfield Dr., includes a paved walking trail around a pond, a pond overlook and fishing pier. A second phase also will include restrooms and playground.
