Orange County Man Will Not Face Death Penalty For Double Shooting

The man accused of killing two people near Hillsborough while they played poker will not face the death penalty.

Investigators say Robert Gattis Jr. also known as Peanut, killed James Long and Nicholas Whitted in 2002 for money.

The Orange County district attorney is not seeking the death penalty because much of the evidence is circumstantial and there were no witnesses.
