A former Cary teacher accused of a sexual relationship with a student could be out of jail by Monday night.

Clyde Lynn, who taught at Green Hope High School, was in court Monday answering to charges of statutory rape. Police say the encounters involved a girl younger than 15 years old.

A judge reduced Lynn's bail, but his lawyer said he will not bond out before Monday night.

Lynn was also a former UNC walk-on basketball player from 1994 to 1996.
