Human Skeleton Discovered In Goldsboro

Goldsboro police are gathering evidence after the discovery of a human skeleton.

Police said someone found the bones Wednesday afternoon in a wooded area near Clingman Street. The remains appeared to have been there for an extended time.

Investigators are gathering the bones so they can be sent to the medical examiner's office. The sex and race of the remains is not yet known or if foul play was involved.
