Colonial Inn auction draws big bids

A little piece of history in Orange County is drawing big dollars.

A Chapel Hill couple has upped the offer they made for the Colonial Inn during an auction last month. It counters a bid made by a Charlotte businessman.

The price tag for the 250-year-old inn now stands at more than $352,000.

The latest bid extends the bidding period for 10 more days, and also gives someone else the opportunity to up the ante.
