Arby's to expand to South Korea, announces 100 new restaurants

ATLANTA -- Fast food chain Arby's has announced plans to expand its brand into South Korea, opening 100 new restaurants there.

ATLANTA -- Fast food chain Arby's has announced plans to expand its brand into South Korea, opening 100 new restaurants there.

The company entered into an agreement with S. Fresh Co., an experienced fast food operator in South Korea, to build the new restaurants expected to begin operations in 2019.

According to the company, the latest agreement marks Arby's largest expansion into Asia.

"We are excited that S Fresh will help bring the Arby's brand to new guests throughout South Korea," said Tim Murphy, president and managing director of international for Atlanta-based Inspire brands.

Arby's recently expanded into Eqypt in a move aimed at establishing 50 restaurants, three of which are already operational.

The company has 3,400 restaurants in the U.S., Canada, the Middle East and Asia.
