An Apex woman and a Holly Springs teen were killed Tuesday in head-on collision on Interstate 40 in Greensboro, police said.
Lisa Tate, 51, and Victoria Padilla, 18, were westbound on I-40 at about 4:20 p.m. when an eastbound Nissan Altima crossed the center median and collided with Tate's Kia Sorrento, police said. The Altima also hit a Jeep and was then struck by a third vehicle.

Tate and Padilla died at the scene, and another young passenger in Tate's car was taken to a local hospital, police said. That person's name and condition weren't released.
No other injuries were reported in the crash.
The driver of the Altima, Priya Hairston, 19, of Summerfield, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and driving left of center. The crash remains under investigation.
