APEX, N.C. — The dates are set for the 2020 Apex United Methodist Church Prom Shoppe. It is 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., March 20, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 21, at the church at 100 S. Hughes St. in Apex.

At this incredible event that has made a big difference for hundreds of teen girls over the years, dresses, shoes, jewelry, makeup and accessories are provided FOR FREE to high school girls. It's intended for girls who can't afford to buy everything they might need for the prom. However, pre-registration and proof of need are NOT required.

Earlier this month, Prom Shoppe organizers shared that they had collected more than 900 dress, including hundreds of new dresses with the tags still on them.

They also could use more donations of dresses, new makeup, shoes and jewelry.

The event's Facebook page has more information. The event is an outreach ministry of Apex United Methodist Church's Family of Faith Communities.
