APEX, N.C. — After a two year break due to COVID, the Apex United Methodist Church Prom Shoppe is back.

The annual event helps provide prom dresses and accessories for high school girls in need.

The event is being held March 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. and March 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church at 100 S. Hughes St. in Apex.

It's intended for girls who can't afford to buy everything they might need for the prom. However, pre-registration and proof of need are NOT required. Just show up, sign in and shop.

The event's Facebook page has more information. The event is an outreach ministry of Apex United Methodist Church's Family of Faith Communities.
