Apex Prom Shoppe open Friday; offers free dresses, accessories

If you know a high school girl who'd love to attend her prom but can't afford to buy the dress and accessories for it, send her over to the Apex Prom Shoppe this Friday.
The Apex Prom Shoppe, an outreach of the Apex United Methodist Church Family of Faith Communities, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday. The event takes place at the church, 100 S. Hughes St., in Apex.
The annual event serves girls who might not otherwise be able to buy a dress and accessories for the prom. The shop provides dresses, accessories, shoes and jewelry to girls for free.
