A 12-year-old Apex boy who had been missing since Monday was found safe Tuesday night. 

APEX, N.C. — A 12-year-old Apex boy who had been missing since Monday was found safe Tuesday night.

Authorities said that Joshua Antonio Howell left his home at 1987 Lazio Lane at about 7:30 p.m. Monday because of a dispute with his mother.

Police said Howell was located at a store in the Beaver Creek Commons shopping center at about 6 p.m. No further information was released.

He was home with his family Tuesday night.
