RALEIGH, N.C. — An Apex man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Raleigh last November has been arrested.

Arrest warrants say that Shawn James Copeland Jr., 21, conspired with Brandon Garnder and Tevin McDonald and then robbed four people at gunpoint. They stole $100 and a cell phone, the warrant says.

Copeland was charged with four counts of second-degree kidnapping and one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He had been named as a suspect in the robbery in April, the warrants say.

He was placed in the Wake County jail under a $500,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
