An Apex High School teacher has been suspended after a video surfaced on social media that appears to show him choking a student, a spokesperson with the school district said Friday.

APEX, N.C. — An Apex High School teacher has been suspended after a video surfaced on social media that appears to show him choking a student, a spokesperson with the school district said Friday.
In the video posted on Twitter, the teacher, Brian Kelley, who is listed as a teacher in the Healthful Living Department on the schools' website, can be seen with his hands around a student's neck.
Lisa Luten, with Wake County schools said an investigation is pending.
