Apex fire captain, others injured in 3-car wreck

Three people, including a captain at the Apex Fire Department, were injured Monday morning in a three-car wreck.

APEX, N.C. — Three people, including a captain at the Apex Fire Department, were injured Monday morning in a wreck involving three cars.

Around 9 a.m., officials responded to a crash at East Williams Street and Lufkin Road in front of Comfort Inn. Three people were injured in the wreck, including the fire captain, who was not responding to the incident at the time.

Officials with the Apex Police Department said the three victims have been transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
