APEX, N.C. — An Apex man has set up a livestream of the adorable robin's nest in his yard.

When the mama robin hatched the eggs a few weeks ago, Seth Sinclair installed a security camera to get a better view of the feathered family.

The eggs started hatching Tuesday morning, and Sinclair said all the babies should be visible in the next several days.

If you rewind video to 5:50 a.m. on Tuesday, you can see the papa bird bring a worm to the new baby and carry the empty shell away from the nest.

At least three eggs have yet to hatch.

If you rewind the livestream further, you can get a better look at the eggs and the first hatchling. You can also see the mama bird fluffing and rearranging her nest.

Sinclair said his children, 7 and 2, love to watch the birds, especially his toddler.

"She shouts, 'Babies! Babies!,' when she sees them," Sinclair laughed.

Sinclair said this is the third year a robin family nested in his yard. As an animal lover, he usually lets the families have their privacy, but the covered area over his porch made this most recent hatching the perfect opportunity to install a camera.

Sinclair researched robins and learned that mama birds often lay several batches of eggs a season. He said he has observed the same mama bird guarding previous eggs and a papa bird leaving to bring food to the family.
