The Carrboro Music Festival, now entering its 15th year, is this Saturday. Over 180 bands and artists will be featured at 25 different venues scattered across downtown.

The <strong>Carrboro Music Festival</strong> aims to bring the community together by showcasing local talent and the area's many popular music styles in a day-long event. Over 180 bands and artists will perform at 25 different venues scattered across downtown (reminds us of Hopscotch!).

The festival's 15th year is sure to be a hit no matter what musical tastes you have – attendees can listen to bluegrass, rock, world music, jazz, country and more. The event starts at 1 p.m. Sunday and continues through the evening. Did we mention it's free?

There will also be a raffle for various prizes, including two tickets to see Steep Canyon Rangers at Cat's Cradle on Nov. 30, two four-day passes to the Grassroots Festival at Shakori Hills and various gift cards to local stores and restaurants. Raffle tickets cost only $1, or $5 for six tickets.
