Reader needs help: Best prices & stores for diaper deals

One of our readers, Renae, is expecting twins in about 3 weeks! How exciting! She has some questions about the best places to get diapers these days and the best price for diapers. Actually, there are a number of moms here on this blog who are expecting babies in the next 3 months so this information should be helpful to many of them. Please help these moms save some big bucks on a such a big expense!

"Hello my name is Renae and I am expecting twins 1st week of June. I have a 3 yr old already at home. Once the boys are born I will be a full time stay at home mom. I am currently at home with my 3yr old due to being taken out of work for the pregnancy.

I was wondering if you could do a special on diapers and wipes. I have looked several different places to try to find the best price. What is a good price per diaper and is it better to buy the store brand or go to the warehouses like BJ's? Now that I am a SAHM and we are living on one income I have shifted my couponing back into high gear or at least trying to."

Back when my girls were in diapers (10 years ago!), I often found my best buys at the drug stores using a combination of sales, coupons and rewards (like ECB's).

These days I am seeing the best prices for diapers in the ads somewhere around $6.50 or less for a jumbo pack after coupons and rewards. If you can find them for $5 or less per jumbo pack, that is probably a great stock up price. I have also read about a number of moms finding good buys through Amazon's diaper program. If anyone here uses it, please share your experience and the prices you pay for those diapers.
