DURHAM, N.C. — Restaurants and retail locations at American Tobacco Campus are reopening with additional safety measures in the wake of COVID-19.

Restaurant Boricua Soul has reopened with all seating outdoors. Owners say they plan to operate with only outdoor seating for the rest of the summer. Customers should still order online. Curbside parking for the restaurant has moved into the South Parking Deck at 705 Willard St.

Mellow Mushroom, Moe's and Tobacco Road reopened on Monday. Mellow Mushroom will be operating with eight tables inside and 18 tables outside on its patio. Moe's will be operating at 50 percent capacity inside and continuing curbside pickup and delivery options.

Tobacco Road is operating at 50 percent capacity and ensuring outdoor seating is at least six feet apart. Servers are required to wear masks and will be screened daily for signs of illness. The entire staff has received Count on Me NC certification from the state health department. The restaurant is also using single-use paper menus and offering touchless hand sanitizer stations and touchless bathroom door openers.

Bella Trio salon and spa will reopen on June 8 with contactless checkout by taking credit card information prior to the appointment. Cash or check will not be accepted. For the first four weeks, the spa will not be offering one hour facial, one hour pedicure, or shampoo and style services. Stylists will be doing cut or colors without a blow-dry. All guests and staff will be required to wear a face mask.

Parker Paper Co. is currently only open for online orders. Items can be picked up at its sister location Parker and Otis at 112 S. Duke St. in Durham.
