A Durham woman said she made multiple calls to 911 and nonemergency numbers on Monday after finding the car involved in Monday's Amber Alert.

Jaxton Brown, the baby at the center of Monday night's Amber Alert, is safe, but his parents are still missing.

Parents on the run, baby found safe after Amber Alert

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Jaxton Brown around 7 p.m. Monday night and located him in Durham around 8:45 p.m. at a Big Lots off of Southwest Durham Drive. The baby's parents were listed as suspects in the abduction of the baby. The couple is not in custody.

Authorities said they are still searching for the parents of a days-old baby found Monday night in Durham. The two are believed to have abducted the baby and then left him in the woods near a Durham store.
