Children subject of Amber Alert found safe in SC

Three children kidnapped by their parents Monday from Virginia have been found safe.

ROANOKE, VA. — Three children kidnapped by their parents Monday from Virginia have been found safe.

Cameron Allison, 6, Emma Allison, 6, and Colin Allison, 1, were the subject of an Amber Alert after their parents took them away as members of the Roanoke County Department of Social Services were attempting to take the children from their custody.

At about 10 a.m. Wednesday, John Allison surrendered to authorities at his attorney’s office.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ruby Alison was arrested in Florence, S.C. along Interstate 95 by South Carolina highway patrol, according to Roanoke police.

Ruby Allison was being held in jail in South Carolina.

Social services workers were going to pick up the children.
