Amber Alert: Infant from Danville, Va., believed abducted by man driving gold sedan with fake NC plates

A 7-month-old infant from Danville, Va., is the subject of an Amber Alert. She is believed to be with Carl Ray Kennedy, 51, a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with gray hair and green eyes last seen wearing a brown T-shirt, gray shorts and black-and-white Sketchers.

DANVILLE, VA. — Police in Danville, Va., issued an Amber Alert early Monday morning for a 7-month-old girl believed abducted by a man driving a gold sedan with fake North Carolina license plates.

The child, Emma Grace Kennedy, weighs about 18 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a light blue onsie with dots and a white rabbit on the left leg and a matching headband. Emma has a small scar on her left cheek.

He alleged abductor, Carl Ray Kennedy, 51, is described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds. He has gray hair and green eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown T-shirt, gray shorts and black-and-white Sketchers. Kennedy has a pierced left ear and numerous tattoos on both arms.

The suspect and baby were last seen traveling east on Riverside Drive from 4912 Riverside Drive in Danville in a gold Suzuki with a fake license plate bearing NC tag number FAA1873. The vehicle also has a Johnny's Auto Sales emblem on the trunk.

Anyone with information regarding this abduction is asked to call the Danville Police Department immediately at 434-799-6510, or call 911 or *HP.
