Greensboro 1-year-old found safe; Amber Alert canceled

Josea Andre Petty was found safe around 7 a.m. at a home on Memphis Street in Greensboro, according to police.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police and North Carolina Department of Public Safety have canceled an Amber Alert for a previously missing 1-year-old boy.

Josea Andre Petty was found safe around 7 a.m. at a home on Memphis Street in Greensboro, according to police.

Previously, Petty was last seen at the Valero Gas station on South Elm-Eugene Street around 12:15. Police believe Petty was taken by two men, who they are still looking for.

Officers are also looking for a 2018 gray Kia Sorento linked to the abduction. The men are accused of stealing the car.

A gray Kia Sorento is linked to the abduction. The car was seen at a Valero gas station in Greensboro around 12:15 a.m.
