Amber Alert for Asheboro 2-year-old, 4-year-old canceled

An Amber Alert for two children Sunday night has been canceled and both children are believed to be safe.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — An Amber Alert issued on Sunday night at around 7 p.m. was canceled hours later after authorities said the children were believed to be safe.It is unclear at this time the exact nature of the events that led to the Amber Alert.

The alert initially said that police were looking for two children, Deshawn, 2, and Londyn, 4, that went missing in Asheboro.

The children were believed to be with Deshawn Williams, Sr., Willaims Markel and Haley Sue Harrah. They were last seen in black hoodies and black ski masks.

Authorities said they believe those three adults were driving to Florida in a black 2019 Dodge Durango with NC tags JMY3236.
