Amazon hiring for 3,000 positions at Garner fulfillment center

Amazon is hiring over for over 3,000 full-time jobs at its new fulfillment center in Garner.

Employees at the new center will work alongside Amazon robotics to pick, pack and ship smaller-sized items to customers in the region.

The new jobs will start out at $15 an hour.

A spokesperson for Amazon said the jobs are available on a rolling basis.

The center is expected to start operations before the 2020 holiday season, but no official start date has been announced. Contstrution is on-going at the new facility.

Amazon officials said temperature checks, masks, enhanced cleaning, gloves, sanitation stations and on-site testing will be at the center amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Those interested in applying at the fulfillment center must be at least 18-years-old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
