HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — Police investigating a bomb threat against Holly Springs High School on Monday determined that it was just a hoax.

According to a letter sent to parents and students by school officials, the threat was made against the school early Monday. Officers with the Holly Springs Police Department did not allow anyone to enter the building until officials swept the school and completed an investigation.

School buses were not allowed to leave the campus until the threat was over, which officials say will cause a significant delay in the bus schedule.

Students and parents can report safety concerns to the school's anonymous tip line at 919-856-1911.
