An unlucky pup's luck has finally turned around.

WRAL News first told you about Ronald the 'unlucky' dog last week, when the SPCA of Wake County made a social media post about his sad story.

After 14 failed adoptions, Ronald had been returned once again to the shelter.

Why was he returned so often? At just 1-year-old, the gentle giant is still a puppy, and his enormous energy had proven too much for many families to handle.

The SPCA of Wake County's post spurred an immense outpouring of love and support – and best of all, another adoption.

This is the adoption that will stick. Based on photos showing him lounging on the couch in a massive hug, Ronald is deliriously happy with his family. No longer unlucky, he's living his best life in a family full of kids and even another dog that will have plenty of energy to play with him and give him all the love he deserves.

Ronald's new family says he's doing great with the family's children – and they are obsessed with him.

The original WRAL post has more than 96,000 likes.

Congrats, Ronald! We wish you a long lifetime full of love!
