RALEIGH, N.C. — The computer system that allows Wake County high school students to access course records was offline briefly Tuesday, Michael Evans, spokesman for the district said.

Evans blamed the outage on an external issue and said the Student/Parent Access Network (SPAN) was working as it should Friday. Students use the system to choose or change classes and parents can log on to get real-time information on grades, assignments and attendance.
