Instead of slaving away in the kitchen this Thanksgiving, go out to eat! Several restaurants in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill and surrounding areas are serving Thanksgiving dinner.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Instead of dirtying up your kitchen this Thanksgiving, go out! Several local restaurants are serving up to-go and dine-in Thanksgiving dinners that help feed the hungry or even combine holiday staples with Indian and Italian fusion.

Reservations are required for many of these restaurants, so call ahead to make sure they're ready for you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Raleigh

Midtown Grille, 4421 Six Forks Road, Raleigh: Have Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant or order a take-home meal. Reservations are available between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Plates, 301 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh: Enjoy a full Thanksgiving dinner and dessert for charity. "Plates for the World" is available for dine-in or take-out from 12 to 5 p.m. $20 from each meal sold will benefit Rise Against Hunger. Reservations are $42 per person.
The Pit: Dine in family-style or take the BBQ to go with The Pit. Green bean casserole, pit-cooked turkey, candied yams and pecan pie are on the menu at the Durham and Raleigh locations. Cost is $29.99 (adults) and $14.99 (children 12 and under) for dine-in customers between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Hibernian: The restaurant and pub will be serving a special Thanksgiving menu at both locations (Glenwood Avenue and north Raleigh) from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. You have a choice of turkey or ham dinners for $16 or a combination of both for $18.
Metro Diner, 6325 Fall of Neuse, Raleigh - This north Raleigh restaurant's menu will include Pumpkin Stuffed Waffles, Turkey Pot Pie and a Stuffed Waffle dinner with turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and gravy all over a waffle made from traditional stuffing. Metro Diner is serving from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Irregardless, 901 W Morgan St, Raleigh: Order your $125 meal (serves 6 to 8 people) before Nov. 19 and pick it up on Thanksgiving between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The restaurant will donate $1 from each take-out meal will be donated to Rise Against Hunger. You can also dine in from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Take-out Thanksgiving orders need to be placed by Friday, Nov. 16.
Mia Francesca, 4100 Main at North Hills St., Raleigh: The Italian restaurant be hosting a Thanksgiving day buffet from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Reservations are $46 for adults and $18 for children under 12.
41Hundred, 4100 Main at North Hills St, Raleigh: A Thanksgiving buffet will be served from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is for $55 per person for adults and $18 for children ages 12 years and younger.
The Capital Grille, 4242 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh: The restaurant is open and serving Thanksgiving dinner with slow-roasted turkey and brioche stuffing, French green beans with Marcona almonds, cranberry pear chutney and Sam’s mashed potatoes. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Adults will pay $42, while children can dine for $15.
Rye Bar and Southern Kitchen, 500 Fayetteville St, Raleigh: The restaurant will be serving a turkey dinner and all the sides from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adults will pay $34, while children dine for $12. Children ages 5 years and younger dine for free. That evening the restaurant will offer a Blue Plate Special from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with either turkey or ham for $18 per person.
Seasons 52, 4325 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh: Dinner is served until 8 p.m. for $27.95 for adults and $13.95 for children. The menu includes roasted turkey, pan gravy, Yukon mashed potatoes, herb stuffing and more.
D&S Cafeteria, 1177 Buck Jones Rd, Raleigh: This restaurant is serving up turkey and ham dinners for takeout.
Margaux's, 8111 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh: This north Raleigh restaurant is serving a four-course prix fixe menu including herb roasted turkey and lump crab cakes for $46.95 for adults and $16.95 for children.
Hummingbird, 1053 E. Whitaker Mill Road, Raleigh: This restaurant is offering a Thanksgiving dinner for pre-order. The menu includes herb roasted turkey, gravy and pumpkin chess bars. Orders need to be placed by Nov. 18 and can be picked up on Nov. 21.
Driftwood, 8460 Honeycutt Road, Raleigh: This restaurant located in Lafayette Village is offering a pre-cooked Thanksgiving dinner. Dinners are $150 (to feet six to eight people) and $280 (to feed 12 to 16 people) and include smoked turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sausage stuffing, bacon green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy, rosemary biscuits, a mixed house salad and a traditional pumpkin pie. Orders must be placed by Nov. 17.
City BBQ (Four locations in Durham, Cary, Raleigh and Garner) - The restaurant will be open for pre-orders only on Thanksgiving from 9 a.m. until noon. The full menu will be available including whole briskets and turkey breasts on Thanksgiving. There will also be a limited supply of whole smoked turkeys and hams.

Durham

The Pit: Dine in family-style or take the BBQ to go with The Pit. Green bean casserole, pit-cooked turkey, candied yams and pecan pie are on the menu at the Durham and Raleigh. Cost is $29.99 for dine-in customers between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club, 3001 Cameron Blvd, Durham: This decadent spread feature slow roasted turkey, NC Heritage Pork Roast, smoked gouda macaroni and cheese and much more. The feast is $82 per person and $25 per child between the ages of 6 and 12. Seatings are at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Counting House, 111 Corcoran St, Durham: The restaurant inside the 21c is serving up Thanksgiving dishes classic and new from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The Durham, 315 E Chapel Hill St, Durham: A feast of oysters, roasted turkey and dessert will be served from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Adults will pay $75 per person, while children under 12 years of age can dine for $35.
JB Duke Hotel, 230 Science Dr, Durham: Enjoy a Thanksgiving Day family style brunch and dinner, including carved ham, beef, turkey, seasonal side dishes and desserts. Brunch is $55 per person, $17 per child ages 6 to 12 years of age.

Cary and Apex

Kababish Cafe, 201 W Chatham St., Cary: Try something new -- this Indian/Pakistani restaurant's star menu features tandoori masala turkey, roasted butternut squash, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots and cranberry sauce. There will be an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 7 p.m. Reservations are $25 for adults and $12 for children under 12.
Dean's Seafood Grill & Bar, 1080 Darrington Dr, Cary: The Thanksgiving buffet will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with fried and oven roasted turkey, honey glazed ham, carved roast beef, oysters, shrimp, salmon, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, dill and garlic mashed potatoes, collard greens, fresh salads a pie bar and more! Adults dine for $45 for adults and children ages 3 to 10 years old can eat for $15.
Chef's Palette, 3460 Ten Ten Road, Suite 118, Cary: This noon to 5:30 p.m. Thanksgiving buffet has classics like turkey with gravy and sage sausage stuffing as well as Atlantic salmon. Reservations are $37 for adults and $18 for children ages 6 to 12.
Herons at The Umstead, 100 Woodland Pond Dr, Cary: From 12 to 6 p.m., Herons' Thanksgiving meal is sure to wow diners. Menu options include truffled macaroni and cheese, sweet potato souffle and more. Adults dine for $89 and children ages 3-10 eat for $25.
Lucky 32, 7307 Tryon Rd, Cary: Thanksgiving dinner is $27 per person and includes a three course menu featuring smoked turkey breast, pumpkin bisque and a cranberry and apple spice cake. It is served from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Peak City Grill, 126 N Salem St, Apex: A buffet-style meal for Thanksgiving with dozens of options, including turkey, a seafood bar, a mac 'n cheese bar and green been casserole. Dinner is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Reservations are $39.95 for adults, $33.95 for seniors 65 and older, and $21.95 for children 12 and under. Children 4 and under eat free.
Verandah, 301 S. Academy St., Cary: Located inside The Mayton Inn, this restaurant is serving up a Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. The cost is $55 for adults and $10 for children under 12 years old.

Chapel Hill and Carrboro

City Kitchen, 201 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill: This buffet is from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes hot soups, brunch items, a spread of salads and cold platters, sides and a selection of signature City Kitchen entrees and Thanksgiving favorites. Adults are $38, children ages 3 to 10 years of age can dine for $15 and kids under 3 eat free.
Carolina Crossroads at The Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro St, Chapel Hill: This Thanksgiving, experience a holiday brunch. Reservations are available from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Acme Food & Beverage Co., 110 E Main St, Carrboro: The restaurant will serve dinner from noon to 8 p.m.
Il Palio, 1505 E. Franklin St., Chapel Hill: A four-course Thanksgiving dinner will be served until 5:30 p.m.
