Live music

That Music Festival - This two-day music festival at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park celebrates the artists who make music right here in North Carolina. Things kick off Friday and continue on Saturday. The lineup includes 25 artists on three stages.
James Taylor at PNC Arena - See James Taylor and his All-Star Band on stage at PNC Arena Saturday night.
Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour - The Backstreet Boys bring their DNA World Tour to Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh on Saturday.
H.E.R. - The R&B singer and songwriter will bring her "The Back of My Mind Tour" to Red Hat Amphitheater on Friday.
Billy Strings at Booth Amphitheatre - GRAMMY award-winning Billy Strings is performing for 3 nights at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary. The shows are Thursday through Saturday. This bluegrass performer is dazzling on stage.
Amos Lee plays DPAC - Singer Amos Lee will bring his summer tour to Durham Performing Arts Center on Saturday night.
Summerfest: We Will Rock You: The Music of Queen - Pack your picnic, lawn chairs, and blankets and enjoy great music under the stars on Sunday night at Booth Amphitheatre.
Air Supply at DPAC - See one of the greatest soft rock duos of all time at DPAC on Friday night.

Festivals and food

Out! Raleigh Pride - This inclusive and family-friendly action-packed event has activities for all ages and offers live entertainment, local vendors and artists, great food, a KidsZone, and a beer garden! There is no admission fee. The event is Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.
Mystic Pirate Festival - Mystic Farm and Distillery in Durham hosts this event on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be pirate sword fighting, boats in the pond, food trucks, real cannons, pirate battles and more fun. Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the event. Purchase tickets for the Dinner with the Pirates after the Festival for an additional $39.
VHSaturday Morning Cartoons - On Saturday, The Fruit in Durham will be playing some classic cartoons on VHS from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, enjoy some specialty-themed cocktails and vegan-friendly brunch. Each drink and brunch item comes with some complimentary cereal!
Bee Day at the Durham Farmer's Market - Celebrate Bees at this event Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Durham Central Park. Bee Day will include real bees and beekeepers plus honey samples.
Moore Square Vintage Market - The Triangle's biggest outdoor vintage clothing market returns Saturday with over 40 vendors. There will also be food trucks and plenty of fun outdoor games set up in downtown Raleigh.

Movies and Comedy

Durham Rock the Park movie series: Encanto - Enjoy a screening of Encanto at Durham Central Park on Saturday night starting at 8:30 p.m .
Kevin Nealon at Goodnights - Kevin Nealon hits the stage like your favorite uncle telling a story at Thanksgiving: casual, relatable, and with the perfect amount of dry wit and deadpan humor. See him on stage at Goodnights Thursday through Saturday.
Tommy Davidson at Raleigh Improv - This actor and comedian takes the stage at Raleigh Improv Thursday through Saturday.
