'Last Band Standing' pits four NC bands against each other

Four North Carolina bands will compete at Lincoln Theatre on Saturday to earn the chance to open for Band Together's headlining act this spring.

RALEIGH, N.C. — On Saturday, four bands will battle it out for the chance to be the "Last Band Standing" at Lincoln Theatre. 
The show is a fundraiser for Band Together NC. 

Each band will receive $500 and the winning band gets an additional $1,000, plus a spot as an opening act at Band Together's annual spring concert. Last year, the B-52s headlined the show. No word on who will be headlining this year. 

The audience will be able to help vote on the winning band Saturday night. 

Here's a list of the bands: 

Big Fat Gap - back porch bluegrass 
Mac and Juice - Their sound "celebrates rock and jazz with doses of jam and bluegrass elements spun in." 
The Beast - Indie hip hop and progressive jazz 
The Deluge - Southern Americana and Soul 
There are only 100 VIP tickets available in advance. (No VIP tickets will be sold the night of.) For $65, you get dinner provided by Bella Monica and beer and wine provided by R.A. Jeffreys. There are only 100 VIP tickets available 

General admission tickets are $10 in advance.  

All net proceeds from this event go to the Tammy Lynn Center which helps provide educational, residential, therapeutic and family support services to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
