93-year-old NC man attacked during home invasion

— A 93-year-old man is recovering after being beaten during a home invasion in Salisbury Tuesday night, WXII reports.

First responders responded to a medical call at the home around 11:45 p.m. When paramedics arrived, the man said he had been beaten during a home invasion.

The man told police he was attacked by two men in masks when he went to let his dog out before bed. He said the two men beat him while asking for the location of his safe.

The man lost two teeth and suffered a brain bruise and gashes to his head and mouth. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
