911 caller describes chaotic moments leading to shooting in Raleigh CVS parking lot

A Raleigh woman was arrested and charged over the weekend in connection to a shooting outside of a CVS on Battle Bridge Road. Tiffany Latoya Jackson, 35, was charged Saturday with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

RALEIGH, N.C. — On Monday, 911 calls related to a CVS parking lot shooting on Battle Bridge Road in Raleigh revealed more details about the incident.

Two women were involved in a road rage encounter before shots were fired.

A caller told the 911 operator that a woman shot another woman in the back while she was sitting in her car. The two women were cutting each other off while driving in the parking lot, according to the 911 calls.

According to the caller, the woman who fired shots was acting erratic after the shooting, running around in circles saying, "what should I do?"

Tiffany Latoya Jackson, 35, was charged Saturday with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

53-year-old Sharon Thomas was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries after the Saturday afternoon shooting. Officials with WakeMed said that Thomas was in critical condition Monday afternoon.

A Raleigh woman was arrested and charged over the weekend in connection to a shooting outside of a CVS on Battle Bridge Road.

Two other cars were hit by gunfire in the CVS parking lot but no one else was hurt.

Jackson posted bond on Monday afternoon and is due back in court next month. If convicted, she faces nearly 40 years in prison.

WRAL News followed Jackson out of the Wake County Courthouse on Monday afternoon as she was surrounded by her family.

A family member of Jackson's told WRAL News, "She has no comment. Please leave her alone."

Jackson has no criminal record.
