An 88-year-old New Jersey man was recovering Friday after being struck by lightning Thursday while camping at Falls Lake.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — An 88-year-old New Jersey man was recovering Friday after being struck by lightning Thursday while camping at Falls Lake.

Rangers said a bolt of lightning hit a power supply line, electrifying a camper at the Holly Point campsite. The man was leaning against the camper at the time, and the lightning struck him in the back.

&quot;There was a bad storm and a loud boom, and the next thing you know, paramedics and everything just started coming in,&quot; said William Christian, who was camping nearby.

The man, whose name wasn't released, was treated at a nearby hospital and released.
