82nd Airborne Division paratrooper dies after Fayetteville wreck
A paratrooper with Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division died from injuries he received in a wreck Friday afternoon in Fayetteville, the military said Wednesday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A paratrooper with Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division died from injuries he received in a wreck Friday afternoon in Fayetteville, the military said Wednesday.
Staff Sgt. Dannie M. Simmons Jr., 29, of South Hill, Va., was a unit supply specialist with the 82nd's Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion.
Simmons joined the Army in January 2005 and had recently returned from a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan.
Fayetteville police are still investigating the wreck, which happened on Cliffdale Road.
