8-year-old hit by car while riding bike on Capital Boulevard

Raleigh police said the child was trying to cross Capital Boulevard at Cheviot Hill Drive.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An 8-year-old boy was hit by a car on Monday night while riding his bike on Capital Boulevard.

Raleigh police said the child was trying to cross Capital Boulevard at Cheviot Hill Drive.

The child was taken to WakeMed for non life-threatening injuries.

Police said charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
