The Durham Bulls have home games through Sunday. They include fireworks after the game Friday evening. Kids can run the bases after Sunday's game.
The NCAA Division II Baseball Championship is taking place at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary through Saturday. General admission is free to all fans. Gates open 45 minutes before the first game of each day.
Triangle Drive-In at Triangle Town Center will screen "Ghostbusters" on Friday evening. "Tom and Jerry" is scheduled for Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for kids ages 4 to 12 and free for kids under age 4.
And the Drive-In at Carraway Village in Chapel Hill is screening "In The Heights" starting Friday. Tickets are $12.90 and $10.75 for kids ages 4 to 10.
Marbles Kids Museum has launched a month of activities that celebrate the outdoors. Visitors can "camp and kayak" in the Hit the Trail exhibit, stop by a ranger station in River Playway and learn about animals in the wild. The museum's IMAX theater also is screening the 45-minute documentary "Into America's Wild." Masks are required at Marbles. So are pre-booked admission tickets.
Movies on the Lawn at Dix Park returns with a screening of "The Incredibles," Saturday, June 12. Gates open at 7 p.m. The movie starts around 8:30 p.m. Tickets are free, but you need to reserve them in advance.
Prairie Ridge Ecostation in west Raleigh is hosting a Gnome Roam, a drop-in family-friendly scavenger hunt. It's free and running during the ecostation's opening hours, which are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
The Museum of Life and Science's Grooves: An Evening of Live Music For All Ages is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, June 11. Play at the museum after hours and enjoy some music. Tickets are $22.
