8 arrested in Wayne County for theft of at least 16 cars

Wayne County Sheriff's Office has arrested 8 men in connection to at least 16 vehicle thefts.
The sheriff's office said between October 2021 and January 2022, it numerous reports of residential break-ins, vehicle break-ins and associated thefts from residents in the Belfast, Dudley, Mar-Mac, Pikeville and Goldsboro communities.
16 vehicles were recovered by deputies during the course of the investigation.
These vehicles had been reported stolen from Cumberland, Guilford, Hoke, Johnston, Pitt, Wayne and Wilson counties.
22-year-old Kysheem Jayire Langston, 20-year-old Jaquavius Marquel Jerome Lane, 18-year-old Marturo Lamon Burch, 19-year-old Tyjon Jacquel Langston, 20-year-old Zion Najee Johnson and 27-year-old Kerron Akeal Howell were arrested by the sheriff's office over the course of the investigation.
Two juveniles, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old, were also arrested.
All 8 are facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
