<b>APEX, N.C.</b> — A 67-year-old woman died overnight in a single-car crash in Apex.

Officials with the State Highway Patrol confirmed that Mary Leasure was involved in a crash on southbound U.S. 1 near Exit 96 for Ten Ten Road.

According to troopers, Leasure ran off the road trying to take the exit and hit a tree. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash occurred Wednesday around 10:30 p.m.
