After more than 17 years behind bars for a murder he didn't commit, the two years since Greg Taylor was exonerated have been all about adjusting to freedom and making up for lost time with his family.

tonight at eight WRL Will air a documentary 6149 days. It's about the rush to judgment. They put an innocent man in prison. Greg Taylor spent 17 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit two years after his exoneration. He is still trying to find a way and his way in the world. Amanda lamb spoke with Greg Taylor about what his life is like today, that's right for Greg Taylor, freedom means being able to do the things he loves travel, spend time with my family exercise. He owns a home in Durham has a brand new grandson and speaks about his ordeal. Two groups around the state. I wake up happy and I go to bed happy. But in between the happy times, Taylor is still trying to figure out exactly what to do with his life. When Greg Taylor was exonerated, he walked out into a brand new world. There were things he had never used before, like a cell phone and there were things he hadn't used in 17 years like a fork. The world kind of passengers you by Taylor tells me he is trying to unlearn the rules of prison life and re learned the rules of real life. You just can't undo 17 years, you know, in two years or even five years maybe in prison, tailor gave up his dreams because you know, you don't have any future with a life sentence. So you just kind of give up all those hopes, you know, all those aspirations. Now, he's finding the strength to reclaim those dreams. Where do you see yourself in 10 years, five years tomorrow. While taylor may not know exactly what the future holds. He believes in the power of hope. If I was hopeful of anything today, you know, I'll be hopeful too.
