After a 3-week haitus from the Wednesday weigh-in, it's back! How have you done in the last few weeks? Healthy...not so healthy? Let's hear it!
After a few weeks of enjoying just about whatever I wanted at various functions, including our anniversary dinner, BBQ at friends, end of school parties, etc, I am at a 1 pound net gain from the last weigh-in 3 weeks ago. I had actually gained a few more than that but spent last week getting rid of most of it. I have already been to the gym twice this week and am on the home stretch for my 25th high school reunion in July. I have 3 pounds to go to reach the 25 lb goal. I'm hoping to knock it out this week!
Honestly, I needed a break from this diet I have been on since late February. It was great to enjoy some treats and even better to know I can get back on track so easily. I am newly motivated and ready to finish up this challenge!
I am back on a steady diet of veggies, veggies and more veggies. Throw in some lean protein and a whole grain carbs and I am set. Considering the great produce prices this time of year, this is not only a healthy route to go, but it's also frugal. Our garden veggies will begin to ripen in the next 2 weeks so that will cut the cost of veggies even more!
