58-year-old man shot by teenager in string of Winston Salem shootings

Three shootings took place in Winston-Salem on Tuesday night, according to NBC affiliate WXII.

Three shootings took place in Winston-Salem on Tuesday night, according to NBC affiliate WXII.

One shooting happened at the Salem Gardens apartment at around 6 p.m. where a 58-year-old man was shot by a teenage boy and transported to the hospital, officials told WXII.

Another shooting took place at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon, where a man was critically wounded in a residential area on Ferrell Court. Investigators say the man was shot while someone tried to rob his place.

At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday night, police found a man was shot during a robbery on Old Vineyard Road. He is expected to recovery from his injuries.

Police have not said if these shootings are connected, WXII reports.
