I've been writing a lot about the local camp providers that have canceled their summer plans because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But some camps are moving ahead for the summer — with some safety measures like limited participation, social distancing and more hand-washing in place.

A Go Ask Mom reader recently asked me if I knew of any summer camps that are actually open. I knew of a few. But I also reached out to our great Facebook community to find out what they knew about. People shared dozens of options.

I'm listing them here, sorted them by location. Keep scrolling to find them. I'll add more to the list as I hear about them. Just be aware that camp spots are limited and may fill up fast as many are reducing the number of kids they take as part of their safety measures.

You can also see the post on our Facebook page. If you know of more, please share them on the Facebook post.

If you're concerned about safety and risk when sending your child to camp, check out the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, which offer some guidance for how summer camps should operate this year.
