A 17-year-old suspect was charged with possession of handgun by a minor, resist/delay/obstruct an officer and shooting a firearm in the city limits this week in connection with the shooting of a 5-year-old boy.
The boy was shot Friday in the 800 block of Rountree Street. He was hopsitalized, but has since been released, Wilson police said.

The suspect was taken into custody, Wilson police said.
