Hi, everyone. Meteorologist Anthony Bagle here in the W R A L severe weather center on this Sunday evening. Of course, this rainfall has been kind of relentless over the past couple of days. This weekend, there's where our storm system though sits. Currently. It's a decently strong area of low pressure that's currently moving really right over us this evening and into tonight, we're gonna watch this continue to push out as we head over the next couple of days. So it's going to take it a little bit of time. But that rainfall that's associated with it will really start to decrease here as we head into the start of this week. Here's future cast. We continue to watch a few really just off and on showers as we head into tonight and into the day tomorrow. Notice by the time we head after midnight, looking still fairly quiet, the clouds will stick with us and especially to our north, that's what we're talking about. The best chance for some spotty showers during Memorial Day itself. There is lunch time. If you have a cook planned for tomorrow or just enjoying here, the day itself a day off. Uh, overall we're gonna see a lot of dry time. There's lunch time, a stray shower still showing up on the map. But really, I think a lot of us are gonna have some time to squeeze in those plans. There's five PM still can't rule it out completely though, that we could see a few showers pushing through, but it's just about a 30 40% chance at best upper fifties, low sixties for us tonight is still pretty comfortable. We head into tomorrow 73 for Memorial Day, spotty showers, definitely not a wash out. It will be less breezy, the clouds will be with us. But compared to the weekend should be a little bit better forecast wise. We're at 73 on Monday, 78 by Wednesday, still a little bit unsettled here to start the week into about Wednesday. Just a couple straight shower chances Thursday, Friday though, looking dry most of the day on Saturday and really most of next weekend at this point looks dry. Just a, a 20% chance there with a cold front coming through Saturday night into Sunday of next weekend. With that said though, that's the forecast here. I hope you have a good start to the week and a restful day off here as we head into tomorrow.

A North Carolina stroke survivor shares his experience to help others understand the warning signs of a stroke.

74 year old David Christie had a stroke about a month ago and just by looking at him and talking to him, you wouldn't really know. He credits that to the quick actions of a sheriff's deputy and nurse that were nearby when things started to go downhill. I had a lot of pain, I couldn't stand and a lot of pain in my left side and my left side just kind of collapsed. And the next thing I remember is that we have a friend here in the community. He's a deputy sheriff. I just remember him holding me and saying, I've got you, I've got you. And, uh, after that then that was, uh, he said, get him in a chair, you know, he, he took action right away and there were a number of other people there. I remember somebody gave me an aspirin nurse. Christie says that day is still a blur for him, but he knows all the signs of a stroke were there. But at the time, he didn't know those were, the signs, had some issues with high blood pressure just came out of nowhere. Dr James mckinney at noon. Health's Neuroscience institute says high blood pressure is the number one risk factor of a stroke. After that diabetes, cigarette smoking and high cholesterol sleep apnea. Those are all things that we can, we can address. Those are the underlying reasons. But what are some physical signs to notice when someone is having a stroke? There's an important acronym to remember. Be fast. So B stands for balance, an onset of dizziness or imbalance eyes. So, vision loss in one or both eyes, F is face or a facial droop A is arm. So really arm or leg weakness on one side of the body. Um S A speech, so slurred speech or difficulty producing words or understanding speech and then T is time to call 911. Mckinney has 20 years of experience and says recent advances in medicine and technology have helped to treat patients in a safer and more efficient manner. All things that helped Christie make a full recovery within a week of his stroke. Now he's sending this message to others. If you have like a precursor, if you have something that starts to like, I can't raise my arm or something, don't ignore it. If you don't do anything, you may well not wake up from it. So pay attention to the signs, learn the signs and act on them.

National Stroke Awareness Month: NC man shares warning signs after surviving stroke

Video of a shooting on a mass transit bus in Charlotte was released. The video shows a passenger and bus driver exchanging shots.

Most of the action happened while the bus was in motion. The ride was uneventful until the man with the hoodie got on 22 year old Amari Sharif. Tobias allegedly tried to ride without paying. Words were exchanged with David Fuller. The driver in the video, you hear Tobias ask Fuller to get off but Fuller said no because he was not at a bus stop. The man continued to argue at one point. Tobias made several threats a day walks behind the driver and here you can see him pull out a gun when he walks back to confront him again. Fullard opens fire. The shootout is captured on multiple interior cameras. Passengers duck for cover while Tobias makes a hasty retreat. He's next to the rear exit. So is another passenger who is positioned slightly under him? The driver gets up from his seat while continuing to point the gun at Tobias. He then fires three shots tumbles out along with the other passenger. Fuller gets off the bus from the interior camera. You can see him fire one last shot from this exterior camera. You can see that Fullard spots Tobias by the sign and fires that last shot, Fullard was shot in the arm and is recovering at home. At some point during the exchange of gunfire, Tobias was shot in the abdomen. He's out of the hospital and in jail on numerous charges.
