5 Arrested in Garner Drug Bust

The Special Response Team of the Garner police and the Drug and Vice Unit of the Wake County Sheriff's Office worked together in the operation, which they said resulted in the seizure of 3.8 grams of crack cocaine and 5 grams of marijuana.

GARNER, N.C. — Five people were arrested Friday after a raid on a home at 106 Smith Drive in Garner.

The Special Response Team of the Garner police and the Drug and Vice Unit of the Wake County Sheriff's Office worked together in the operation, which they said resulted in the seizure of 3.8 grams of crack cocaine and 5 grams of marijuana.

Officers charged Donnell Smith, 39, Lottie Smith, 58, and Clyde Gulley, 63, all residents of the property, with possession with intent to sell and delivery of a controlled substance.

Brandon Collins, 21, of 925 Weston St. in Raleigh, faces one count of simple possession of marijuana. Lolita Smith, 41, of 1328 Wrentree Circle in Raleigh, was charged with possession with intent to sell a counterfeit controlled substance.
