4th suspect arrested in shooting death of man at Goldsboro motel

Goldsboro police arrested a fourth person on Thursday in a fatal shooting at a motel on Friday.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police arrested a fourth person on Thursday in a fatal shooting at a motel on Friday.

Melissa Gonzalez was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

She was held in the Wayne County jail on a $50,000 bond.

Police earlier arrested three people.

Around 10:30 p.m. on June 7, police officers responded to the America's Best Value Inn located at 701 U.S. Highway 70. At the scene, they found a man laying outside of motel room 122 suffering from a gunshot wound. The man, identified as 34-year-old Tishan Geigher, had been living at the motel, police said.

Geigher was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the shooting, warrants were obtained for the arrests of Jaime Elias Toledano, Jose Amando Roman and Cameron Chans Smith.

Smith and Toledano were arrested on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, and charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

On Monday, Roman turned himself in to police. He was served the aforementioned warrants for murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

All three were being held without bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.
