42-year-old pedestrian struck, killed while crossing I-40W

Raleigh, N.C. — A pedestrian walking on Interstate 40 westbound on Friday night was struck and killed by a vehicle, officials said.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol identified the man as 42-year-old Jonathan Ray Brewster, of Linden.
Troopers said Stephen James Holder, 23, of Raleigh, was driving west near Exit 306A around 10:15 p.m. when Brewster ran into the path of Holder's vehicle.
No charges are expected in the case.
