Three Raleigh schools were among 40 schools nationwide named Tuesday as Blue Ribbon Schools under the federal No Child Left Behind program.

Three Raleigh schools were among 40 schools nationwide named Tuesday as Blue Ribbon Schools under the federal No Child Left Behind program.

The Raleigh School, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and Sacred Heart Cathedral were three of eight North Carolina schools honored this year.

The Blue Ribbon Schools program honors elementary and secondary schools whose students achieve at high levels or that have made significant progress in closing an achievement gap.
