3 people taken to hospital after drive-by shooting in Dunn

Three people were taken to Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn on Thursday night after a drive-by shooting, police said.

Dunn Police Chief Clark White said the shooting occurred at 601 E. Vance St. shortly after 7 p.m., but he wasn't sure if any of the three was actually shot or was injured in some other way. All three had non-life-threatening injuries, he said.

Two houses were hit by gunfire, White said.

“It was reported that a white passenger car came through the area discharging a firearm," he said. "We have an investigator at the hospital right now obtaining more information on that, but there were three injuries as a result of this incident."
